Composition

As determined by Article 45 of the Common Fisheries Policy, the Market Advisory Council can be composed of:

Organisations representing the fisheries, aquaculture operators, and representatives of the processing and marketing sectors.
Other interest groups affected by the CFP (e.g. environmental organisations and consumer groups).
Procedure
The Secretariat sends an official letter to the authorities of the Member State where the organisation is based requesting their agreement.
The Executive Committee is asked to endorse and the General Assembly is informed.
Members must pay an annual fee of €200 to attend the General Assembly. The fee to attend Working Groups is 300€. The fee to be a part of the Executive Committee is 400€.
